What SOS Does

With locations in Rochester and Dover, New Hampshire, SOS Recovery Community Organization is a collaborative of peers in recovery from substance misuse and their allies working together to create safe spaces and peer based recovery supports throughout Strafford County.  SOS and it’s Recovery Community Centers exist to bolster and grow the local recovery community through:  Recovery coaching, crisis response, telephone recovery supports, meetings and workshops, support for all pathways to recovery, organized advocacy, partnerships with diverse community organizations, and volunteerism and social events and active activities.

The mission of SOS Recovery Community Organization is to reduce stigma and harm associated with substance use and misuse by providing safe space and peer based supports for people in all stages of recovery.


The SOS Vision

SOS Recovery Community Organization envisions a world where recovery from addiction to alcohol and other drugs is possible and widely embraced through low-barrier access to inclusive and respectful support, and where all who seek long-term recovery have access to the care and resources they need to achieve their self-defined goals.
