SOMERSWORTH, August, 2016 – Goodwin Community Health invites all new mothers and their babies to a new weekly group meeting called, “Baby Time”. The weekly meet-ups offer new mothers a place to come and talk about life with a new baby, meet other local families with infants, and gain confidential and nurturing support for the joys and challenges of the early stages of motherhood.
“Baby Time is a great way for new mothers to connect, adjust and help their babies thrive,” says Jessica Garlough, Prenatal and Social Work Manager at Goodwin Community Health. “It can be especially beneficial for moms with postpartum depression, anxiety, or any woman adjusting to motherhood…physically, emotionally or socially.”
The group provides comfortable, confidential, information, discussion and activities with a caring, trained facilitator, certified doula Susan Remillard. Baby Time is every Wednesday from 10:00am to 11:30am at Goodwin Community Health, 311 Route 108 in Somersworth. There is no cost to attend. The program is made possible by a grant from the United Way.
