SOMERSWORTH – Tri-City Subaru and Goodwin Community Health announced the results of the 2015 Subaru Share the Love Campaign. The local effort of this national fundraising campaign raised $21,698 that will help Strafford County families in need access quality health care services through Goodwin Community Health.
Each year, Tri-City Subaru selects one local charity for the Share the Love Campaign that runs from November to January. Every customer that purchased or leased a new Subaru from Tri City during this time period had the option to direct $250 to one of 6 charities, 5 national and 1 local. The campaign will resume again in November 2016.
“Community support of this magnitude goes a long way in helping many local uninsured people get access to life changing services like dental care, mental health care or services to help them better treat chronic diseases like asthma and diabetes,” said Janet Laatsch, CEO of Goodwin Community Health. “We are very grateful to the Tri-City Subaru staff for partnering with us and their efforts to keep donations local.”
In addition to helping raise over $21,000 for Goodwin, Tri-City Subaru also set up a Christmas tree in their showroom that displayed tags of items patients are in need of all year long. Throughout the duration of the Share the Love campaign, items such as diapers, books, toys, gas cards, grocery gift cards, socks and more were donated and collected under the tree.
